GREEN is my favourite colour and it’s not just because I was born on St. Patrick’s Day! I’ve been given every kind of Hallmark St. Patties Day, leprechaun, 4 leaf clover card that exists. I do LOVE rainbows and I wouldn’t say no to pots of gold. I like Celtic music and I even have a bit of Irish blood in me.

Once on my travels in London an Irishman bet his English friend a $50 that I was Irish but he was wrong and so irritated that he lost the bet. That’s another story. In sum up Green represents growth, prosperity and nature.

Around the world…

  • In Western cultures – nature, spring, freshness, money, jealousy, and greed.

  • In Ireland – national colour, good luck, shamrocks, St Patrick’s Day.

  • In Eastern cultures – new and eternal life, fertility, youth, health, and prosperity.

  • In China – wearing a green hat is taboo for men because it suggests his wife is being unfaithful.

  • South America – death.
