PURPLE dye was extremely rare and expensive, so across many eastern and western cultures it represented royalty, wealth, status, power, and fame. Purple is dynamic but after extensive research I included intuition, mystery and vision on the back of Life Blooms card which are tiny words with a lot of meaning. Plus there’s more…

  • Catholicism – death (alongside black).

  • Thailand, Brazil – mourning (in Brazil, wearing purple when not at a funeral is bad luck).

  • USA – honour, courage ‘The Purple Heart’.

  • International – Purple Day is a grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about Epilepsy on March 26th worldwide.
