BLUE is one of my favourite colours because it represents the vastness of the sky and the ocean to me. Like the memory of a family holiday in Hawaii or scuba lessons in Jamaica. I love the perspective and calming effect of blue. On the back of the blue card is: communication, balance and understanding. Yes please…more of that.

A look around the world…

  • In Judaism – holiness, and divinity.

  • In Hinduism – Krishna, the most important god, love, joy and destruction of pain and sin.

  • In China – a feminine colour.

  • In Europe and the West – a masculine colour.

  • In the Middle East – safety, protection, heaven, spirituality, immortality.

  • Latin America – hope, good health, wealth, the Virgin Mary.

  • Western cultures – melancholy ‘having the blues’, also trust, security, and authority.
